Weigh in Wednesday

Starting Weight - 89.5kg
Weight Last Week - 80.6kg
Weight Today - 81kg
Weight to Lose - 12kg

Well.
What can I say?  Cheesels, too many Grain Waves, and ony family size block of chocolate this past seven days, has resulted in a gain of 400 grams.  Back on the band wagon this week.  Pretzles seem to be my best snack food at the moment, other than the normal things.

The excercise was curbed a little this past week too.  With my father in law in hospital from Thursday, and him having surgery on Monday our household has been messy, at best.  Hopefully things will start to settle down soon.

Have started interval running.  It hurts and reminds me just how unfit I am.  But its good, once you get going!

Weigh in Wednesday

Easter was a big change this year, chocolate wise.  Normally before the Easter Bunny has even visited our house, Marc and I have consumed more than our fair share of Red Tulip bunnies (the large ones of course!), plus whatever else takes our fancy.  Not this year though!  We didn't even buy one bunny!!!!  And we did not buy the kids lots and lots of chocolate, opting instead for only eggs found on their egg hunts (yes, plural!).  So even though I did eat more than a few eggs, I was pretty happy with what the scales told me - no change from last week!

Weight Today - 81.7kg

Weigh in Wednesday

After the not so nice number on the scales yesterday, I redeemed myself slightly today. Not slightly enough though!

Starting Weight - 89.5kg
Weight Today - 81.7kg
Weight to Lose - 12.7kg

As “they” say, a loss is a loss… but what do “they” say about a gain?! Considering that I did no exercise last week at all and ate I at least two and a half family blocks of chocolate (I wasn’t counting…!), I can't complain about 200 grams! Next week will be different though. It’s back to my regularly scheduled program of eating a bit more consciously than before and exercising!  Pity that amongst all those good intentions for the week ahead, the Easter Bunny will be visiting with his basket of very-hard-to-resist Easter eggs...!

Why you just shouldn't...

Official Weigh In Day is Wednesday, but this morning I just thought, out of curiosity, I would weigh myself.
Bad idea!
No more comment until tomorrow...

A Better Week

Last week was an improvement on the week before! Nothing much to report, I really need to start on the exercise part, but just have no motivation for it at the moment. Not having someone to train with makes a huge difference...

A few weeks in between

So I've been very very slack with this blog... We have had two more lots of visitors and the start the the preschool year to deal with since my last entry. Through all of that (namely a lot of eating out while people were holidaying with us) I still managed to lose a little bit... At least those scales are going down and not up!

I'm still sticking to the Weight Watchers plan for the most part, and trying really hard not to snack, especially after 9pm! While we keep nothing "nice" in the house, and getting dressed and driving to the shops for a chocolate fix is very unappealing, late night snacking is almost non existent in our house. I'll just have a glass of water instead then, shall I?! Not quite what I was after, but it'll have to do :)

End of Week One

Last week I was good. REALLY good. I even rejoined Weight Watchers online. I love being able to count points online, especially since the laptop is never far away. So, I was counting my points and eating really well. Up until Friday! We had a friend come to visit, and well, instead of being a over the top about what I did or didn't eat, I just went with the flow and tried to choose foods that weren't as bad as some... It must have worked. At least I lost something last week, even if it was such a small amount. A loss is still a loss! The box of Roses and McDonald's stop obviously didn't help, but I'm not beating myself up about it. Life is going to always get the in way and I don't want to get all anal about what I should and shouldn't be eating. There's no fun in that at all!
Back to the WW plan this morning though :)

New Start for 2009

2009 is the year of weight loss and fitness for me (as well and attempting to become more frugal, but that's another post altogether!).

2008 was a year of being pregnant for what seemed like forever, and finally giving birth to Reuben on the 20th October.

In March I need to look relatively decent in a beautiful bridesmaids dress for Meegan and Rob's wedding. This is my main source of motivation for the next 9 weeks or so. I don't want to be the largest in the bridal party!

So far so good. But it's only the 4th Jan :)

I had given myself a wide girth for 'healthy eating' up until today, as we weren't supposed to be home from holidays until last night, but we made it in good time and drove 14 hours straight on Friday. This drive all depended on what the boys were like and whether we needed a break and stay somewhere over night. Luckily we didn't and so I got an extra days start on my goal for '09.

My only gripe: Why is it so expensive to eat healthily on the run?

Because we didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on food and drinks on the trip home, we kept to the major fast food chains. McDonald's got a rather large donation from us over a few different stops along the way home!
