Finally. Finally!
It's only taken me weeks of half-hearted searching, but I've purchased a copy of Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred (off eBay) this afternoon. Hopefully it will be here in a week!
And that isn't the only start my throwing some much needed exercisemy way - Monday night beginners yoga starts next week for me. I'm a bit excited about it - I'm going to view it not only as a set time to do something physical to start the week, but also has a couple of hours of "me time", which I am so very desperate for at the moment.
I love multitasking ;)

Non Weigh In Wednesday
Ahhhh it's been a super hectic week, so much so that I completely forgot to weigh myself before we ran out the door well before 7am yesterday morning.
I think I am going to give myself this week as a week's grace, and weigh in again next Wednesday... It's not that far away, you know :)
How has your week been? I am off to the shops after work today to try and find me a DVD to exercise with. I haven't had any luck with my local retailers, so I'm heading into the larger shopping centre today - with all the crazy people who are already stocking for Christmas (yeah, in 6 months time!!!) at the Target sales that starts today... I think I'll class myself as one of the crazy's too!

Hmmm... Not a great start this week. So much for 'getting back on track'..! Marc has been away most of the week, Reuben has been sick (re: too many loads of washing/sheet changing/clothes to count), it's EOFY at work and Owen starts a new school tomorrow! I don't need to add that it's been a big, long week here at the Harvey Circus.
My goal for this week? Find a decent exercise DVD to do at home. I'm tempted by Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD. From reviews I've been reading, it's a short circuit workout (about 20-25 mins) with three levels to get through. Sounds just about right for someone like me!
Have you had a go? Can you recommend an alternative DVD to try?

It's Time... Again!
I've neglected this blog for so long - over twelve months, in fact!!!
But.
I'm back.
And I'm back for good.
I hope!!! :)
So, what's been going on since May 2010? Can I just say "life", and cop out on a proper answer??? Seriously though, we have had our eldest start school, the youngest two start day care, me start and finish one job, only to pick up something (much) more suited to our crazy circus-type lifestyle that doesn't involve heaps of juggling for me to work, there has been birthday parties, Christmas, the birth of two (yes, two!!!) new nephews, and a change of primary school (yes, half way through Prep!), just to name a few things that have happened in the last year and a bit! Busy much? That's an understatement!
Anyway, I know I'm not starting this blog up again on Weigh In Wednesday's but I will be starting that again this Wednesday. I am hoping that the scales will be kind to me for my first weigh in for a long, long time.
See you all on Wednesday!

A significant loss!!!
About time I got a decent number off those horrible, mean scales :)
And whathave I done differently this past week?
Changed the way I eat slightly.
- No more snacking after dinner.
- Eating dinner earlier than usual (aiming for 6:30pm or ealier most nights).
- Cutting back significantly on the soft drink, even the sugar-free stuff.
And also, fitting in some incidental exercise even though I only made it to the gym once in the past week.

Non-Weigh in Wednesday
Weigh In Wednesday will have to wait until Thursday as I forgot to weigh myself this morning!
Silly, cause I don't normally forget.
Do you think working (outside the home) helps you eat less? Or to make better or different choices?
I am wanting to go back to work soon, and even though I'm only looking for 2 days per week of work, I'm hoping that it will help me to not eat so much... Keeping my mind and hands busy tends to keep me away from the fridge and pantry. It's very easy to graze all day and night when you are home alot, I've found.
My brother in law, who knows a whole lot about dieting and exercise, tells me that weight loss is 80% diet and only 20% exercise. If only the percentages were reversed for me..!

I should have called this post "Better Than Nothing". Cause that is exaclty how I feel about 100 grams...! With an off week filled with sick kids, emergency room visit, fast food, parties, afternoon teas, a long weekend, and only one exercise session all week. All in all, not a great one for weight loss of any kind, but a good week for catching up with friends and family amongst all the other stuff.
But it was back to the gym last night, into the cardio and weight training for a good hour so I've started off this week as I mean to finish it :)

Well.
What can I say? Cheesels, too many Grain Waves, and ony family size block of chocolate this past seven days, has resulted in a gain of 400 grams. Back on the band wagon this week. Pretzles seem to be my best snack food at the moment, other than the normal things.
The excercise was curbed a little this past week too. With my father in law in hospital from Thursday, and him having surgery on Monday our household has been messy, at best. Hopefully things will start to settle down soon.
Have started interval running. It hurts and reminds me just how unfit I am. But its good, once you get going!
